No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Butter 1 cup
Packed brown sugar 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Quick-cooking oats 3 cups
Semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup
Peanut butter 1/2 cup

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Pan
Lightly grease a 9Ă—9-inch square baking dish.

Step 2: Cook the Oat Mixture
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the 1 cup of butter. Add the brown sugar and vanilla, stirring until combined. Mix in the 3 cups of quick oats and cook on low for 2–3 minutes until everything is well blended and slightly toasted.

Step 3: Form the Base
Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Set the remaining mixture aside for the top layer.

Step 4: Prepare the Chocolate Filling
In a small saucepan, gently melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Spread this creamy chocolate mixture evenly over the oat base.

Step 5: Add the Topping
Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer and lightly press it down—just enough for it to hold together.

Step 6: Chill and Serve
Cover the pan and refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or overnight, until the bars are completely firm. Allow them to warm slightly toward room temperature before slicing and enjoying.
