Steven Tyler will stop performing following his most recent show, during which he sustained major injuries. A statement from Tyler’s team says he injured himself singing at an Aerosmith concert in Long Island.

Sadly, unexpected medical problems have caused lead vocalist Steven Tyler to want urgent treatment and his physicians have recommended against his travel or performance right now. So, the last four performances of the South American tour will be called off.

Steven is supposed to completely recover. Rest and therapy will help him to soon be back on his feet rocking the planet.

To everyone in South America: Brazil, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico… I truly regret and feel as though I have failed you. I will not be able to finish the last four gigs of this tour. After the performance in Sao Paulo, I flew back to the United States on doctor’s orders last night.
