One afternoon, John was standing in his backyard when he happened to look over the fence into his neighbor Sam’s garden.
To his surprise, he saw Sam’s wife outside, undressed, watering the flowers as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
John could hardly believe his luck.
Later that evening, when Sam came home from work, John couldn’t resist teasing him.
“Hey, Sam,” he said with a grin, “you’ll never guess what I saw today. I saw your wife undressed in the garden.”
Sam was furious, but he tried not to show it. He simply nodded and walked away, already thinking about how to get revenge.
That night, Sam quietly crept over near John’s yard and peeked toward the house. Through the window, he caught sight of John’s wife in a very compromising situation.
The next morning, Sam saw John by the mailbox and decided it was his turn to brag.
“Hey, John,” Sam said with a satisfied smile, “I saw your wife making love to you last night.”
John burst out laughing.
“Ha ha,” he said. “The joke’s on you. I wasn’t home last night!”
