Stuffing Balls: A Crispy Holiday Favorite

With the holiday season fast approaching, it’s time to start planning that festive feast. While the turkey may be the star of the show, there’s another dish that deserves its moment in the spotlight—Stuffing Balls. These crispy, savory bites are a wonderful complement to your Thanksgiving spread and also make for a delicious snack any time of year.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to create mouthwatering Stuffing Balls in just a few simple steps. They’re easy to make, packed with flavor, and guaranteed to be a hit with your guests.

Ingredients

For the Stuffing Balls:

Ingredient Quantity
Leftover or prepared stuffing 4 cups
Turkey or chicken broth ½ cup
Unsalted butter, melted ¼ cup
Grated Parmesan cheese ½ cup
Fresh parsley, finely chopped ¼ cup
Onion, finely chopped ¼ cup
Garlic cloves, minced 2
Salt and pepper To taste

For the Coating:

Ingredient Quantity
Breadcrumbs 1½ cups
Large eggs, beaten 2

Instructions

Step 1: Form the Stuffing Balls

In a large bowl, mix the stuffing with the broth to moisten it. This will help the mixture bind together.

Stir in the melted butter, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, onion, and garlic. Season with salt and pepper as needed. Mix until everything is thoroughly combined and holds its shape.

Shape the mixture into balls roughly the size of golf balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should get around 20–24 balls.

Step 2: Bread the Balls

Place the breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Dip each ball into the beaten eggs, allowing any extra to drip off, then roll them in the breadcrumbs to coat evenly. Return them to the baking sheet.

Step 3: Fry Until Golden

Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add a few stuffing balls at a time. Fry for 4–6 minutes, turning as needed, until golden brown and crispy.

Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 4: Serve Warm

Enjoy the stuffing balls while they’re still warm and crispy. They make a perfect Thanksgiving side or a tasty appetizer any time.
