In a popular post from Fox News Business host Elizabeth MacDonald, the anchor revealed how the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) exposed a massive Social Security fraud ring. Expounding on the stunning information from DOGE, MacDonald explained how these fraud discoveries prove that “no one believes Dems like Chuck Schumer.”
For context, DOGE was established by President Trump as part of his long-term commitment to fighting fraud, waste, and financial mismanagement in the federal government. DOGE has focused much of its efforts on Social Security, and its investigations have yielded shocking information about widespread benefits fraud.
As we reported, Schumer addressed this situation in a controversial post to social media where he said, “Trump has unleashed chaos on America —His tariffs hit families with the largest tax hike in more than 50 years —DOGE is sabotaging Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid —The market is having its worst 3 days since COVID. And Congressional Republicans are going along with it all so they can cut taxes for billionaires.”
In any case, DOGE’s initial announcement, which was posted on April 9, 2025, said, “An initial survey of Unemployment Insurance claims since 2020 revealed the following: – 24.5k people over 115 years old claimed $59M in benefits – 28k people between 1 and 5 years old claimed $254M in benefits – 9.7k people with birth dates over 15 years in the future claimed $69M in benefits. In one case, someone with a birthday in 2154 claimed $41k.”
Building on that point, Elizabeth MacDonald explained why this bust could sink corrupt Democrats. She said, “This is exactly why Elon Musk and Doge say fake Social Security # s are used to steal from taxpayers – and why no one believes Dems like Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren here. A massive jobless benefits theft scheme and historic fraud uncovered by Doge (sic).”
Concluding her post, the Fox Business host said, “Fake Social Security numbers are being used to steal from other government programs like Medicaid. This is exactly why Democrats like Senator Chuck Schumer are plunging in the polls, likely because voters don’t believe their political topspin Doge & Musk are trying to cut benefits. They’re not. They’re catching massive fraud Congress is supposed to stop.”
In the comments under her post, conservative social media users flocked to express their indignation. One of the comments read, “Corruption like this does not just happen. It is a feature of the system set up and facilitated by corrupt administrators. Competent, honest administrators would not allow such deficiencies to exist.”
Other users drew attention to the need for legal accountability. One such comment said, “They had addresses and cashed checks, where is the law?” Some accounts wondered how the system would allow for obviously fraudulent payouts. One of the replies read, “Birth date in the future. Huh. The field in the database allows you to do that? Omg”
Rounding to the comments section, some of the responses expressed their anger with mainstream media for refusing to cover DOGE’s historic progress. One of the comments read, “DOGE fraud revelations are grossly underreported. Yet these findings show the theft of America’s generational wealth. This should be the top story across the board every day.” Building on that point, another comment said, “The gaslighting dems & mainstream media say these are lies and no evidence. That’s why seniors are terrified. There needs to be some kind of evidence to prove the fraud.”
